PSI Global’s filter and housing range has been designed to ensure optimum performance whilst protecting personnel and machinery from unnecessary risks.
The space-saving design retains the filter element in the bowl so that only a few centimetres of clearance are required to remove the housing.
Energy Efficiency
- Exceptionally low pressure drop across PSI Global’s patented pleated process and NoDL™ filter element ensures that air does not back up behind the filter, allowing air motors to work effectively without stalling, and helping to reduce energy costs.
- The entire filter surface is used because the PSI Global patented NoDL™ drainage layer has a flat seam, with no overlapping dead area.
Low running costs
- PSI Global’s superior pleated filter incorporating NoDL™ drainage delivers a prolonged filter life, therefore reducing replacement costs and servicing time.
- Low pressure drop across the filter results in energy cost savings by minimizing the required operating line pressure.
- Maintenance downtime is kept to a minimum, due to the quick-release bayonet mechanism that allows the filter to be changed quickly and with ease.
A Safe Working Environment
- If the maximum safe working pressure is exceeded, a pressure relief valve gives an audible warning, and the system can be depressurised at the push of a button.
- PSI Global’s patented pleated media has exceptional elasticity, providing protection under certain surge conditions, even in harsh chemical conditions.
- The risk of oil spillage whilst the filter is being changed is reduced because the filter is retained in the housing.

Many of the patented features of PSI Global's own filter range are available on compatible elements giving performance that is equal, if not superior, to the original parts. These include:
Pleated filter media
PSI Global’s patented pleated filter media is made of three bonded layers which have been specially treated so that the filter elements are:
- Oil and water resistant
- Thermally stable
- Stable in chemically adverse environments
- Safe under some surge conditions due to greater elasticity.
Drainage Layer
PSI Global's patented NoDL™ non-woven polyester drainage layer is compatible with all modern lubricants and can withstand temperatures of up to 120 degrees centigrade, as well as being resistant to extremes of acidity or alkalinity.
The drainage layer is fitted using a new patented process which welds the ends of the fabric together without any overlap. Unique to PSI Global, the welded drainage layer has no overlap, so there is no "dead area" on the filter surface. The welded seam is stronger than stitched or glued alternatives and ensures a better fitting end-cap.
