PSI was incorporated in 1976, subsequent to pioneering the Domnick Hunter partnership. George Hunter and Sue Hunter were two of the original partners and founders of Domnick Hunter (now known as Parker) for a decade before incorporating Process Scientific Innovations in 1976, rebranded as PSI Global Limited in 1999 in recognition of the global market it serves.
PSI Global were the original innovators of pleated filter media, which retains its shape and elasticity in harsh chemical environments and can withstand higher pressure and certain surge conditions without bursting, and it has continued to innovate ever since.

- 2011 New infra-red curing technology introduced.
